The Denver Institute for Psychoanalysis ("DIP") operates www.DenverInstituteForPsychoanalysis.org (or “Website”). It is DIP’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating the Website.
DIP collects non-personally-identifying information that web browsers and servers typically make available such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The purpose of collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how visitors use the Website so that we may improve the Website.
DIP also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments. DIP only discloses logged in user IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.
When you create an account and complete certain transactions with DIP such as an event registration or donation, we collect the personally-identifying information you give us such as your name, address, phone, and email address. The amount and type of information that DIP gathers depends on the nature of the transaction. Those who engage in transactions with DIP are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, DIP collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with DIP.
For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Users may appear in public or private directories. Users may set their privacy settings within their profile. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
As part of the account registration or creation process, you become added to our contact list which we use to send emails about our organization such as newsletters and other updates. We also may use your information to contact you directly.
When you provide us with personally-identifying information to create an account, register for an event, make a donation, place an order, or similar transaction, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
Users who register guests for events are consenting to voluntarily providing the guest information. Guest information may be stored with the Users account or within the event.
If after you become added to our contact list and you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us.
We may disclose your personal information if User is a member of an affiliate organization, if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
In general, the third-party providers used by DIP will only collect, use and disclose User information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to DIP.
Affinipay is the credit card and electronic funds processor for the Website and QuickBooksOnline is integrated for bookkeeping. When User makes a financial transaction, the User implies consent for the systems to process their payment. User may opt-in to recurring payments or donations and consent to the third party retaining card information. Aside from Payroll, DIP does not store financial account information for its Users.

Last updated: 3/8/2023
Program Description: We may send promotional and transactional mobile messages in various formats through the Program. Promotional messages advertise and promote our products and services and may include event notices, specials, promotions, marketing offers, abandoned checkout reminders and fundraising notices. Transactional messages relate to an existing or ongoing transaction and may include event reminders, membership reminders, order notifications and updates, email delivery issues, and other transaction-related information. Mobile messages may be sent using an automated technology, including an autodialer, automated system, or automatic telephone dialing system. Message frequency will vary but will not exceed 15 messages per month. You agree that we, our affiliates, and any third-party service providers may send you messages regarding the foregoing topics or any topic and that such messages and/or calls may be made or placed using different telephone numbers or short codes. We do not charge for mobile messages sent through the Program but you are responsible for any message and data rates imposed by your mobile provider, as standard data and message rates may apply for SMS and MMS alerts.
User Opt-In: By providing your mobile phone number to us, you are voluntarily opting in to the Program and you agree to receive recurring mobile messages from us at the mobile phone number associated with your opt-in, even if such number is registered on any state or federal “Do Not Call” list. You agree that any mobile phone number you provide to us is a valid mobile phone number of which you are the owner or authorized user. If you change your mobile phone number or are no longer the owner or authorized user of the mobile phone number, you agree to promptly notify us at email@example.com. Your participation in the Program is not required to make any purchase from us and your participation in the Program is completely voluntary.
User Opt-Out and Support: You may opt-out of the Program at any time. If you wish to optout of the Program and stop receiving mobile messages from us, or you no longer agree to these Mobile Messaging Terms, reply STOP, QUIT, CANCEL, OPT-OUT, and/or UNSUBSCRIBE to any mobile message from us. You may continue to receive text messages for a short period while we process your request and you may receive a one-time opt-out confirmation message. You understand and agree that the foregoing is the only reasonable method of opting out. For support, reply HELP to any mobile message from us. Our mobile messaging platform may not recognize requests that modify the foregoing commands, and you agree that we and our service providers will not be liable for failing to honor requests that do not comply with the requirements in these Mobile Messaging Terms. We may also change the telephone number or short code we use to operate the Program and we will notify you of any such change. You acknowledge that any requests sent to a telephone number or short code that has been changed may not be received by us and we will not be responsible for failing to honor a request sent to a telephone number or short code that has been changed.
Disclaimer of Warranty and Liability: The Program is offered on an “as-is” basis and may not be available in all areas, at all times, or on all mobile providers. You agree that neither we nor our service providers will be liable for any failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any mobile message or information sent through the Program.
Modifications: We may modify or cancel the Program or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Messaging Terms at any time. Any such modification will take effect when it is posted to our website. You agree to review these Mobile Messaging Terms periodically to ensure that you are aware of any modifications. Your continued participation in the Program will constitute your acceptance of those modifications.
